Step into the enchanting world of Bali Indian weddings, where colors, culture, and festivities converge to create an unforgettable celebration. In November of last year, we orchestrated an enchanting affair for Astha and Ankur at the luxurious Sofitel Nusa Dua Bali. Over three days, the celebration unfolded with the grace and grandeur celebration of Hindu weddings in Bali, leaving behind a collection of cherished memories. It was a genuinely magical experience that resonated with all those who were a part of it.
Mehendi and Welcome Dinner
The festivities kicked off with the Mehendi ceremony, a day of intricate henna designs adorning the bride's hands and feet by Barbie Henna. The Bride, Astha, requests the intricate presence of an elephant, custom-curated by A-A for Astha & Angkur that make her henna design truly one-of-a-kind.
Astha and Angkur began their wedding celebration with a dinner reception, expressing respect and deep gratitude because all family members have already arrived in Nusa Dua from overseas to celebrate Astha and Angkur's wedding. Warm and intimate Welcome Dinner, creating a relaxed atmosphere for guests and family to know each other.
Haldi and Sangeet Night
On the second day of Astha and Ankur wedding, the Haldi ceremony turned the venue into a burst of vibrant colors and lively energy. Aisle Project's decor stole the show with a stunning display of yellow, featuring triangle arches framing the Haldi area.
The couple made a spirited entrance, dancing alongside their entire family before diving into the joyous Haldi ceremony. Laughter echoed as the golden paste adorned them, and the festivities reached a refreshing conclusion with a shower of ice water, symbolizing the cleansing of the Haldi. Then, they geared up for the Sangeet, ready for more music and dance to continue the wedding festivities.
Astha and Ankur's Sangeet night was nothing short of a Bollywood spectacle with a dash of Indian Got Talent vibes. Picture this: Ankur, the groom, unleashing more dance moves than a dance-off marathon, pulling off over 10 routines for the entire three-day wedding extravaganza. It was like watching a live talent show, but with a personal touch that only a wedding celebration can bring.
The entire crew - friends and family from both sides - turned into overnight stars, putting on performances that would give professionals a run for their money. However, the real showstopper was Ankur's comedic masterpiece. Teaming up with his buddies, he transformed his love story with Astha into an SNL skit meets musical extravaganza. The crowd roared with laughter as they reenacted how Ankur, fresh out of med school and still riding the single wave, found his match in Astha through online dating.
As the night reached its peak, Ankur and Astha stole the spotlight, leading a dance-off that turned the floor into a spontaneous dance party. It was a night to remember, filled with laughter, love, and a dancefloor that became the stage for a celebration of a lifetime.
Wedding Ceremony, Dinner Reception and After Party
On the third day of Astha and Ankur's wedding, against a tropical setting, heartfelt first looks unfolded. Astha shared a moment with her family, followed by the merging of both families in a warm embrace. The highlight came when Ankur, nervously waiting, turned to see Astha, leaving him awestruck. They exchanged sweet and calming vows, creating a genuine connection in the serene setting. After the tender moment, Ankur, still in the afterglow, headed to his baraat, ready for the next chapter of their adventure.
Ankur's baraat was an extravagant celebration, kicking off in style after his heartfelt first look with Astha. Heading to Sofitel's lobby for a second first look, Ankur was greeted by his enthusiastic best friends, who, in a playful tribute, cheered "Shah Rukh Khan," creating an atmosphere of lively camaraderie.
The baraat took an exhilarating turn as Ankur made a grand entrance in a vibrant red Porsche, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of dhol and an unconventional twist – a DJ spinning tunes from a pickup truck just in front of the Porsche. Laughter and joy filled the air as they danced their way through the celebration, creating a vibrant and unforgettable prelude to the wedding festivities.
The final day marked the pinnacle of Astha and Angkur's union. The traditional Hindu wedding ceremony unfolded with the exchange of seven sacred vows, or pheras, symbolizing the couple's commitment to each other. The Sofitel Nusa Dua Bali provided a picturesque setting, with the beach serving as a backdrop to this sacred ritual.
And the celebration continued with a grand dinner reception. The venue was transformed into a haven of elegance, with exquisite decor of orange setting and a delectable feast that left guests in awe. Beautiful Entrance with a stop motion video by Cupcakes Production was amazing.
As the night progressed, the festivities transitioned into an After Party, where the newlyweds and their guests let loose on the dance floor. The celebration extended into the early hours, filled with laughter, music, and the joy of new beginnings.
