It's called a Multicultural wedding, then there is the interracial wedding, and sometimes it is also called intermarriage. They are all referring to one thing, a form of love.
But, what really is it?
Multicultural wedding is a matrimony between 2 people with different races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Aside from endogamy, interracial marriage has become something popular for the last five decades. Since 1980, interracial marriage has had a stable growth, and in the early twenty-first century, the number has increased instantaneously. It is absolutely no different here in Indonesia, especially in Bali.
Bali is Indonesia's island of paradise where everyone meets new people from all around the world and there's probably nowhere else in the world with such beautiful diversity of such attractive culture that gives off a strong vibe of ethnicity, the breathtaking view of nature, as well as the local tourist spot that could be the place where people meet their other halves!
Just like the rest of the world, Bali has witnessed a lot of vows, especially interracial marriages of people all across the globe. A lot of people choose to say "I do" in Bali because of those exceptional things that they couldn't find anywhere else in the world.
Bali celebrates diversities. We have definitely witnessed and experienced lots of multicultural marriages, and those beautiful moments are definitely unforgettable! One of the most memorable weddings that we absolutely adore is Ashley and Bharet's wedding. Both Ashley and Bharet are from New York. Ashley is American and Bharet is of India descent. The gorgeous couple decided to tie the knot in Bali and it was totally beautiful!
The wedding was held in The Ungasan and Alila Seminyak. We had 2 concepts for the wedding: western wedding and requested by the groom, traditional Indian wedding. The ceremony was started with the western wedding as they said their vows in The Ungasan. Then, they had their sacred traditional wedding ceremony in Alila Seminyak. If a word could describe the moments, it would definitely be "perfect". We had so much fun and wonderful time throughout the wedding and the couple is just wonderful to work together with.
Besides of Ashley and Bharet, we have also worked with a lot of multiracial couples to make their dream weddings came true. It has been our joy to see every single couple having the best moments of their lives, and to think the fact that our couples trusted us with their weddings is just beyond words.
